The Mini First Aid Class (filmed for ITVBe) was a fantastic class, both Arg and I found it a really good and informative session
We have seen hundreds of clients go through the Infection Control Course and heard nothing but positive feedback. They were able to do everything in their own time and now have the ability to promote their certificate/badge to all current and future customers which has helped them secure both venues and new clients. I would highly recommend anyone that is running a children's activities business to complete this course.
We attended the Mini First Aid class when I was pregnant last year. Fast forward to now and my baby girl is 8months old and my training has just saved her life! My daughter began silently choking on a piece of toast and had started to turn purple, because of my training I remained as calm as can be in that situation and was able to get her in the correct position and give her some black blows and retrieve the nasty culprit. £20 I paid for that course, it was the best £20 I ever spent because my daughter's life is priceless. I know for a fact before attending the course I would have just panicked and screamed, not knowing the best course of action. Thank you so much Mini First Aid, you saved my daughter's life and for that I'm eternally grateful.
Martin, your 90 minute workshop was fantastic. All these kids of various ages, nationalities and English language abilities - you managed to engage for a lengthy time. It was so good and beautifully thought out and delivered. So kind and thoughtful that you brought along certificates and extras (for spelling mistakes and so on). Please can we do it again!
Martin from Mini First Aid did a Paediatric and Child first aid course for us, the course was excellent, completely geared to our requirements and delivered in a way which was crystal clear and very easy to recall, with lots of opportunity to try what was being taught until participants felt confident. The course was delivered in a professional and friendly way, amd all the equipment scrupulously clean and kept clean.
Sky are always looking for ways to better support their staff and Parents@Sky Network offers support and benefits to staff who are parents. I came across Mini First Aid through a Facebook promotion and there was a huge demand for the Infant and Child First Aid class which was shared on our internal and external social channels. The communication and organisation of the event was excellent - Sarah-Lou was professional, engaging and even injected some parent style humour! The class was interactive and educational - everyone took something away from it including much more confidence in dealing with any emergencies which could arise with their little ones. The feedback received on the back of it was amazing! It was a great success and hopefully something we can do again, and potentially roll out to other sites in the UK. Thank you Mini First Aid, you were a pleasure to deal with!
I cannot recommend Mini First Aid enough. Kate ran a private class for me and my 11 year old daughter in the comfort of our own home, which was perfect especially as my babies are due any day now. My daughter and I feel much more confident in knowing what to do in a range of emergency situations and I also got some extra twin tips from Kate as a fellow twin Mum! It's such an important life skill that every parent and carer should have so I would urge you to book a Mini First Aid course today.
"We are so glad we have done a Mini First Aid class. We enjoyed the class, found it really useful and feel so much more prepared in the build up to having our baby.”
I’m a first time mum to our beautiful daughter Nell and like most parents, we were keen to undertake some first aid training (naturally in the hopes that we would never need to use it!) Mini First Aid were recommended to us though a friend so we made contact and arranged a session. Martin delivered training to my group of friends and their partners on areas such as; burns, resuscitation, breaks, Seizures and most importantly as it turned out for us: choking. One afternoon, we were enjoying a day out in the sunshine and had stopped to feed our daughter of 7 months, she’s just started solid food and we’d been giving her sliced banana to chew on. On this particular day, she inhaled a small piece and began to choke. Admittedly my initial panicked instincts told me to try to remove the banana with my fingers but I quickly remembered Martin’s words and training so resisted. Instead, I followed Martin’s instructions; put her in the proper hold, bottom in the air and one forceful strike between her shoulder blades dislodged the banana and although she was shocked, she was able to breathe again and I can’t tell you how relieved we felt! It may have only been 10 seconds in which she couldn’t breathe but it was terrifying. However, had I not had training from Martin and Mini First Aid, I can’t even begin to imagine how differently the situation turned out. In fact, I’d go as far to say that the training I received enabled me to save our daughter’s life. I cannot recommend them highly enough and would encourage any parent to book a session. It’s training that you hope that you’ll never have to use but, take it from me, it’s one thousand times better to know what to do in that situation that not! Thank you Mini First Aid and Martin.
Myself and my partner took our little baby to Martin's First Aid course today held near Swiss Cottage. Martin was very personable and informative and we gained a lot from the two hour course - especially confidence. I highly recommend this course
It was a pleasure meeting Kate and Jacky from Mini First Aid and being taught what to do in case of an emergency. Learning CPR and what to do when a child is choking is invaluable. Obviously, I hope I never had to use the things I learned in today’s class, but horrible things happen and knowing these techniques can really make a huge difference. The class was fun and accessible given the seriousness of the topic. I would highly recommend everyone doing it.

There are a gazillion things I never seem to get around to doing (fixing the broken blind in our bedroom, getting some photos printed of ‘the baby’ who is almost two but still doesn’t exist on our walls, pinning down the coffee date I’ve been promising my neglected friend via WhatsApp for at least 6 months…) BUT this morning I finally got my arse in gear and ticked off something from my ‘Really Must Do’ list by attending a First Aid class designed specifically for parents, grandparents and carers of babies and young children. It took just two hours out of my morning and covered a whole host of stuff including what to do if a child is choking, how to deal with burns/breaks/bleeding and the basics of life-saving CPR for kids.
